John Brown South Africa, part of a global leading content marketing agency, is looking for a bright, inspired creative to join our largest blue-chip account as Features Editor.  The position is based in Cape Town and will report directly to the Content Director.

Join our multi-award-winning team to conceptualise and develop feature ideas and inspirational content across a range of print and digital platforms.

Roles and responsibilities

  1. Developing content and feature ideas for magazine, brand extensions and digital platforms.
  2. Feature writing, editing and commissioning.
  3. Reworking magazine copy for use on multiple digital platforms.
  4. Coordinating photographers and interviewees for lifestyle feature shoots.
  5. Writing of advertorial, competition and ad mailer copy.
  6. Working with the managing editor to ensure a smooth production process
  7. Supporting editor with regards to conceptualising content for magazine and digital platforms
  8. Keep abreast of print and digital trends in relations to food and retail.
