Role and mission:

John Brown South Africa is seeking to appoint a highly experienced Traffic Manager to work across our influencer division. Based in Cape Town, he or she would work in collaboration with our strategist, editors and campaign manager to manage the smooth running of influencer campaigns.

Key responsibilities:
  • Be responsible for the timeous delivery of all influencer projects, including creating accurate timelines and coordinating internal resources, third-party suppliers and the influencers themselves
  • Take accurate, thorough briefs from clients and internal stakeholders
  • Contract all influencers, ensuring deliverables are clearly articulated and understood and that all client requirements are considered and documented
  • Develop cost estimates and compile financial reports at campaign end, with the support of the Client Director
  • Manage the invoicing process
  • Manage and deliver campaigns within budgets
  • Run internal and client status meetings, including compiling accurate contact reports and following up on actions
  • Implement and continue to develop all internal production systems and processes
  • Manage, track and facilitate all jobs in the system
  • Where necessary, coordinate the production process between third-party and freelance suppliers
  • Report on the status of all pieces of content and ad material and ensure critical deadlines are met
  • Manage the workflow and approval processes
  • Maintain good relationships with clients and suppliers
What you’ll need:
  • Minimum of four years’ previous experience in traffic with an agency is essential, preferably with experience working on influencer campaigns
  • Excellent computer literacy and experience with project management software
  • Experience in digital media and a good understanding of terminology and all major digital platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong client service skills and experience
  • Have an appropriate sense of urgency, prioritisation, tenacity and attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and interpret a client brief and communicate this clearly and consistently to the creative team
  • A broad operational range across digital platforms
  • Multitasking skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects with no supervision
  • Capacity to take on numerous clients across a range of industries
