The launch of My Stokvel magazine

John Brown Media is the proud publisher of the new My Stokvel magazine, an extension of Pick n Pay’s Fresh Living magazine. The new title is available now at Pick n Pay Hypermarkets to all Smart Shopper stokvel groups.

My Stokvel was born from Pick n Pay’s genuine desire to connect and engage with the approximately 10 000 stokvel groups that are card-carrying members of the tailor-made Smart Shopper stokvel programme.

Pick n Pay has many bespoke stokvel offers, and My Stokvel magazine is a vehicle to communicate what they are and how to access them.

Hitting the shelves in time for the bulk-buying season, My Stokvel is full of useful tips and information on how to run a successful stokvel, how to get more bang for your buck when you shop at Pick n Pay, and recipes for cost-effective crowd catering.

We were honoured to chat with the Princess of Africa herself, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, for the cover article and were intrigued to learn more about her personal stokvel experiences. Her natural charm combined with her powerhouse celebrity influence makes her the perfect cover star for this inaugural issue. A total of 100 000 copies of My Stokvel hit the shelves today, 16 October, and are available free to Smart Shopper stokvel members only.
