In 2007, Pick n Pay asked us to create a magazine for their rebrand and to increase shopping frequency and basket size.
Within eight months, Fresh Living became SA’s biggest-selling food-and-lifestyle magazine, a position it still holds today.
Through the years, we have developed myriad print brand extensions, from cookbooks and recipe cards to supplements and posters.
Changing consumer needs and the COVID-19 pandemic have led to a decreased print run, a switch to a quarterly cadence and the bold (and unprecedented) return to a sold model.
Remarkably, despite these changes, and as testament to customer engagement with the magazine, Fresh Living continues to outsell competitor titles and drive increased basket size, shopper frequency and brand trust for Pick n Pay.
